Our Lab: In the Heart of Atlanta

The Abramson Lab is part of the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at The Georgia Institute of Technology. Located in the center of Atlanta, our lab will tap the engineering expertise of Georgia Tech and the medical expertise of the Emory School of Medicine to develop the next generation of ingestible, implantable and wearable medical devices. Georgia Tech is a Top 5 ranked program in BME, ChemE, MechE, and EE. Ph.D. Students

Admitted students to Georgia Tech should directly email Dr. Abramson. Prospective students should apply directly through the program website. We welcome students from a range of multidisciplinary backgrounds, including Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, as well as students from other departments such as Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering affiliated with the interdisciplinary bioengineering program. Postdoctoral Fellows

Prospective Fellows should email Dr. Abramson with a cover letter, CV, and a 5 slide presentation that summarizes their past research accomplishments. Please arrange for a letter of reference to be sent as well. Our lab will support scholars in their applications for NIH, NSF, and other prestigious fellowships. Currently, our lab only has spots for funded postdoctoral fellows, but please check back regularly for new openings. Undergraduates

Georgia Tech Undergraduates seeking a dynamic and supportive lab environment with a focus on translational medical research should email Dr. Abramson with a statement of interest and a CV. We are always seeking motivated and curious students from any discipline. During longer tenures, students can expect to become co-authors and co-inventors on papers and patents. Visiting Scholars and MDs
